Classic Cocktails for Your Father’s Day Cookout

Replicate the steakhouse experience with a stiff Manhattan or Old Fashioned. Add some cosmopolitan Euro vibes to your patio space with an Americano. Shake up a Classic Daiquiri for a Hemingway-inspired holiday. Pick one or two and serve up a special day he’ll remember all summer.

  • 2 oz. bourbon
  • 1 oz. sweet vermouth
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Cherry for garnish

Stir ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into a chilled glass and add the cherry garnish.

Old Fashioned:

  • 2 oz. bourbon or rye whiskey
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1/4 oz. simple syrup
  • Orange peel

Add the syrup, bitters and orange peel to a glass. Gently muddle the orange peel to release the citrus oils, add the whiskey, and stir. Add ice cubes and stir once more.

  • 1 1/2 oz. Campari
  • 1 1/2 oz. sweet vermouth
  • Club soda
  • Orange slice for garnish

Pour the Campari and vermouth into an ice-filled glass. Top off with soda, stir and add the orange slice for garnish.

Classic Daiquiri:

  • 2 oz. white rum
  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz. simple syrup

Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake to chill. Strain into a pre-chilled glass and serve.
