The Perfect Flank Steak by Twin Eagles Partner Heartbeet Kitchen
Marinated and grilled flank steak with perfect roasted potatoes—one of Twin Eagles Partner Heartbeet Kitchen’s favorite things to cook on her Twin Eagles 36″ Outdoor Gas Grill for a special occasion or winter holiday.
Flank steak is budget-friendly and one of the easiest cuts to grill because it’s quick-cooking. A simple overnight marinade gives it fantastic flavor while keeping it tender. Try making this delightful dinner for a scaled-down family holiday gathering this year. Get the recipe below.
Marinade Ingredients (for 1 /2 to 2 pounds steak):⠀
1/3 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons Tamari
4 cloves minced garlic
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon black pepper⠀
Place marinade in a plastic bag and squeeze ingredients together to help combine. Brown sugar should dissolve. Place steak in a bag, seal, and massage the marinade into the meat. Let sit overnight in the refrigerator. ⠀
When ready to cook, preheat your Twin Eagles grill for direct heat grilling, to 450-500º. Grill for 4-6 minutes per side, until internal temp reaches 135ºF. Remove steak from grill and let rest, covered, for 15 minutes. Slice thinly against the grain, and enjoy.
